Each club in a player’s bag has a particular purpose, to hit a particular type of shot a certain distance. There are essentially 4 kinds of golfing club : woods, irons, wedges, and putters.
A golfer is permitted to carry fourteen clubs in their bag in a round. As a rule, the longer a club is, the further the ball will go, but the less control the player will have over where it’s going. The longest sort of golfing club in the bag is a wood, and the driver is the longest of the group.
